MCC-SJFC 2013 Academic
Cultural Exchange Blog Guidelines
Greetings!
Welcome to the MCC-SJFC 2013 Academic Cultural Exchange blog. This blog serves
as a virtual extension of our traditional classroom. Although we are in a learning
space that is more casual, it is to be held in the same regard as a laboratory
setting designed for respectful academic exchanges. You may post anytime up to
the deadline which is 11:50 pm on the due date.
We are looking for approximately a FULL page of double-spaced text. We
will provide a few generic applicable topics/ themes related to FAMILY,
FRIENDSHIP, RACE, LOVE, for example. We
will tweak the process and product as needed.

Online Academic Environment
Guidelines
·
Civil
disagreement will happen, but the goal is to be in conversation with others. We
cannot grow if we cannot listen to perspectives that differ from our own.
·
Be
sensitive when referring to quoted material. Many of the readings contain
racial epithets and pejorative language.
·
You
must post with your first name and last initial in order to receive credit for
your comments.
·
Please
do not use profanity and/or name calling.
·
You
will be given one notification if your behavior violates our civility policy.
If a second reminder is needed, you will have to meet with your professor
before you will be allowed to post again. Remember, this is a public forum and
many people will be reading the exchanges that you bring to the table.
II.
Blog Submissions
·
You
must comment on at least one blog post per story.
·
Your
comments must reference the work you have read. **You must incorporate quotes from the work in your responses using page numbers (MLA).
·
You
may also comment on information posted by other MCC and/or SJFC students.
Ideally, both classes will be in conversation with each other.
